The Game Plan Inquiry found that there aren’t enough senior leadership roles. It also found that a better gender balance on boards and in administration and coaching leads to a range of benefits. Luckily, Victorian Government organisations like Sport and Recreation Victoria as well as sector organisations like Vicsport, are committed to helping state sporting organisations and other peak sector organisations to improve recruitment and retention of females leaders. The toolkit below came out of the Inquiry recommendations. It is aimed at helping a broad range of organisations in the sector think about some of the barriers to recruitment and retention and how to solve them.
