Cycling Victoria

Cycling Victoria has made a push to get women back on their bikes.

Cycling Victoria has made a push to get women back on their bikes through the Breeze program – an initiative that serves as a refresher course, catering for women cyclists at any skill level.

The Breeze program was established in 2012 by Cycling Victoria and was funded by a grant from Sport and Recreation Victoria. The Breeze program provides opportunities for women to become accredited AustCycle teachers so they can run beginner bike rides for women in their local area.

Any female can join a local Breeze ride and develop skills, confidence and friendship close to their home. To date, the program has resulted in over 40 women with AustCycle qualifications, and new women’s only rides are appearing all across Victoria.
