Join the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation and Moreland City Council at the upcoming forum - Creating Change Through Policy.
Following on from the 2018 Office for Women in Sport and Recreation LGA forum, the 2019 discussion will focus on delivering female friendly built environments and equitable use policies.
Presenting partner, Moreland City Council will share a range of resources and learnings and we will hear from community sport representatives who will speak in detail on the impact the ‘Allocation of Sporting Grounds and Pavilions Policy' has had at community club level.
Acknowledging there are a large number of LGA's that are active in developing policies, strategies and audit tools to address access and use, facilitating a universal adoption of these practices will drive change further. This forum will give attendees a unique insight into a variety of strategies designed to overcome barriers to participation at community level and be ready to support competition growth with local associations.
Hear from a range of speakers including the Director of the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation, Dr Bridie O'Donnell, representatives from Sport and Recreation Victoria, Moreland Council and community sports groups.
A networking lunch will be provided following the forum, please highlight any dietary requirements on the booking form.
This event is free and tickets must be pre-booked via eventbrite.
