The Change Our Game Scholarship Alumni program is designed to bring together the 120+ Change Our Game Scholarship recipients to network, provide feedback on the program and their experiences and build their industry connections.
Launched earlier in the month, the growing cohort of industry professionals and volunteers represent every level of the Victorian sport and active recreation sector and are all leaders in their own right.
“It's great to have such a diverse and interesting group of women in the one roomr, to hear about their experiences and to better understand how we, as a group, can support them,” Dr Bridie O’Donnell, Director Office for Women in Sport and Recreation said.
“Whist in it’s infancy, this network will be a great asset and I look forward to seeing it grow and enrich the careers of the many extraordinary women we currently have working and volunteering in the sector.” Dr O’Donnell said.
Since establishing the first Office for Women in Sport and Recreation, the Government is taking action to assist more women and girls to earn sport leadership roles across all levels of the Victorian sport and active recreation sector.
To date, in excess of 120 women working and volunteering across the broader Victorian sport and active recreation sector have received a Change Our Game Scholarship and we look forward to growing the numbers and working with scholarship recipients to support them in their leadership journey’s.
