Change Our Game Champions

The Change Our Game Champions Program addresses Recommendation One made by the Inquiry into Women in Sport and Active Recreation. It brings together influential leaders from the sport and active recreation sector to champion cultural change and generate leadership opportunities and experiences for women and girls.

The Change Our Game Champions are a group of leaders from within the Victorian sport and active recreation industry. The role of a Champion is to influence change, not just within their organisation but sector wide by sharing information, resources and acting as a figurehead in driving positive change.

2019

Peter Filopoulos - CEO Football Victoria

Peter Filopoulos was appointed CEO of Football Victoria in 2018. Prior to joining FV, Peter was Chief Executive Officer at the Perth Glory Football Club.

Grant Cosgriff - Executive Director Triathlon Victoria

Grant Cosgriff has been Executive Director at Triathlon Victoria since 2014, previously he worked at Sport and Recreation Victoria.

John Ballis - CEO Reclink Australia

Nick Honey - CEO Basketball Victoria

Nick Honey has been CEO of Basketball Victoria since 2013, prior to that he was CEO of Athletics Victoria.

Rick Bell - CEO AFL Victoria

Rick Bell was appointed CEO in 2019, having previously held the role of chief operating officer at AFL Victoria.

Peter Burns - CEO YMCA Victoria

Peter Burns is the Chief Executive of the YMCA Victoria Group, Australia. He enjoys the privilege of working with a talented, diverse and dedicated voluntary Board; and a skilled team of professionals dedicated to creating happier, healthier and inclusive communities.

2018

Andrew Ingleton - CEO Cricket Victoria

Andrew was appointed CEO in 2017, having worked previously as Executive General Manager of Game and Market Development at Cricket Australia. Prior to his career in cricket, he held a range of senior management and executive positions in the corporate sector.

Andrew Skillern - CEO Hockey Victoria

Appointed CEO of Hockey Victoria in 2014, Andrew has worked on linking the operations of the whole sport together so success can be achieved at all levels and facets of the sport. Andrew is also a Fair Go, sport! ambassador.

Craig Richards - CEO Bicycle Network

CEO of Bicycle Network since 2012, Craig previously worked as a lawyer for nine years, ran his own consulting business for five years and then became General Manager Commercial Operations for the Brisbane Broncos and Carlton Football Club.

Jamie Parsons - CEO Gymnastics Victoria

Prior to being appointed CEO in 2013, Jamie has worked in senior leadership positions in a range of sports including Netball Australia, FINA World Swimming Championships, Deaflympic Games, Football Federation Victoria and Little Athletics Victoria.

Matthew Kennedy

Matthew Kennedy - CEO Tennis Victoria

Matthew was appointed CEO of Tennis Victoria in 2011. Prior to this he has held senior executive roles at Cricket Victoria and the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Paul Jane - CEO Cycling Victoria

Paul was appointed CEO of Cycling Victoria in 2017, and has held previous roles within local and state government including the operation of major sports venues, planning for and management of public reserves and open space, assets management and sports development.

Rosie King

Rosie King - CEO Netball Victoria

Prior to being appointed CEO of Netball Victoria in 2016, Rosie was General Manager of Geelong Football Club, and became the first female to hold a CEO role in the AFL when she was appointed Acting CEO.

Steven Reaper - CEO AFL Victoria

Steven is a former VFL player and joined AFL Victoria as Chief Operating Officer in November 2012, making Deputy General Manager six months later. Steven was appointed to the role of CEO in 2014.
