Fair Access Policy Roadshow

The Office for Women in Sport and Recreation have returned from the statewide Fair Access Roadshow, which involved 14 workshops with Victorian councils over eight weeks. Since the beginning of the Roadshow in late-February, the team travelled more than 3,500 kilometres and met with 71 councils to build their capacity and confidence in their locally relevant approach to the Fair Access Policy Roadmap. Throughout the workshops, councils shared their ideas, opportunities and challenges when it comes to access and use of community sports infrastructure in their regions, and how equitable outcomes can be delivered for women and girls.

The workshops were delivered in partnership with Regional Sport Victoria, Regional Sports Assemblies and RED Consulting and Training. A big thanks to these facilitating partners, and to all the councils who participated in the Roadshow.
