Overview of the Community Activation Grants Program

The Victorian Government’s 2024-25 Change Our Game Community Activation Grants Program, offered through the Office for Women in Sport and Recreation, is supporting community level initiatives to enable participation, build capability and celebrate the role of women and girls in sport and active recreation.

This program supports clubs, associations and organisations to:

  • build, connect and sustain the participation of women and girls in community sport and active recreation
  • undertake education and training to strengthen capability and leadership in gender equality policy and practice and/or inclusion and representation of women and girls
  • support women volunteering within community sport and active recreation to access professional development to develop as community leaders.

Since 2018, The Change Our Game Community Activation Grants program has provided more than 700 opportunities at a total of more than $3.7 million to community sport and active recreation clubs and organisations across the state.
